Who is qualified to provide Vision Therapy?

What credentials demonstrate that someone is an expert in Vision Therapy?

There are two organizations involved in Vision Therapy and Vision Development:

  1. COVD – The College of Optometrists in Vision Development grants the credential of FCOVD, Fellowship in Vision Therapy and Vision Development to those who have demonstrated proficiency and expertise in Vision Therapy and Vision Development. It is a very rigorous process.
  2. OEP – Optometric Extension Program Foundation offers coursework and grants certification in Behavioral Optometry

NORA, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, is an organization of doctors who help individuals regain skills that were lost due to a brain injury: concussion, traumatic, or acquired brain injury.

Many optometrists who provide Vision Therapy and Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation are members of these organizations. We are members of all 3 organizations.
